Travel & Fees

 

Registration Fee: $900USD (due at time of registration following acceptance). Registration includes all meals and accommodations from 18 July – 25 July and all meeting publications. Fee is due at the time of registration and any registration grants will be applied at the time of payment.

Travel: The school will be held on an University of Warsaw premises in the historic town of Checiny in central Poland. Transfer to the venue from Warsaw will be provided and further information will be relayed to those participating in the meeting.

Students are responsible, however, for their own travel to and from Warsaw. The host institution will provide Visa letters for those requesting or requiring documents for travel. 

Grants and Scholarships: Travel and registration grants will be available to OSA student members only and determined based on student need. Grants in the past have ranged between $200-$700 for travel and $100-$500 for registration. Students will receive notification of grant requests at the time of acceptance to the school.

     Zuegel Family Scholarship: This scholarship awards up to six US $900 to cover the registration fee for the school. This a merit-based award focused on global diversity and academic achievement. In order to be eligible you must be:

  • OSA Student Member
  • Accepted to the Siegman School
  • Attendance to the school (students who decline to attend or cancel registration will forfeit scholarship)

Other Funding Sources to Consider: Grant funds are limited and students should research all potential funding support such as their university, department, or government for alternative funding opportunities.

Visas: Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa to enter Poland. Poland is a member of the European Union and of the European free travel area - the Schengen area. 

If you are not on the visa-free list, and are not a resident in the EU, you will typically need a type-C Schengen Visa to enter Poland. You can find your local Polish embassy or consulate by visiting this link and we advise that you get in touch with the embassy to confirm the visa requirements and book a visa interview as soon as possible.
