Optica Nonlinear Optics Topical Meeting

The Technical Program

Nonlinear optics is central to many areas of photonics, from fundamental science to applications. The Nonlinear Optics meeting is an international forum for all aspects of nonlinear optics, including new phenomena, novel devices, advanced materials and innovative applications. The current scope of nonlinear optics covers all time scales—from CW to attoseconds, energies from single photons to zettawats and frequencies from THz to x-ray and beyond. Hot topics this year include the nonlinear optics of fibers and microcavities, nonlinear effects at ultra-high intensities and machine learning applied nonlinear optics.

  • Discover the latest developments in the nonlinear properties of fibers, microcavities and microstructures, especially as applied spectroscopy and sensing.
  • Learn about recent advances in high intensity and relativistic nonlinear optics, including the latest in high-harmonic generation.
  • Learn about the continued advances in applying nonlinear optics in quantum communication, quantum computing and quantum sensing.
  • Investigate applications of nonlinear optics to materials science and biology, including biological probes, nonlinear microscopy and spectroscopy and materials processing.
