Michael Oshetski is a serial entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Micatu, Inc. (a provider of next generation optical sensing solutions for the industrial and utilities markets) and is considered an expert in the commercialization of optical solutions. Michael’s passion is to “Fundamentally Change The Way The World Senses With Light” through products that transform operational awareness for the power and industrial industries. With optics as his core skillset, he has driven Micatu to become an industry leader and a tier one supplier with top suppliers within the utility industry. Michael has been awarded a number of prizes and honors, including the 76West Clean Energy Competition One Million Dollar Grand Prize and is an honorary inductee at the RIT School of Engineering. He has authored or co-authored over 40 patents within the field of optics and optical sensing applications. Michael received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and resides in Upstate New York.
