Travel and Transportation

Toulouse, the capital of France’s southern Occitanie region, is bisected by the Garonne River and sits near the Spanish border. This is a city of color, with its brick facades blending pinks and oranges, its emblematic flower, the violet, the blue of the pastel and the red and black of the Capitols that has been adopted now by the Stade Toulousain rugby team. Toulouse is the perfect destination for both nature lovers and history buffs. The variety of landscapes on offer is rivaled only by the incredible diversity of cultures: Canal du Midi, Carcassonne, and its castle, nautical jousting in Sète, foie gras from Gers, world’s largest winemaking region, ski holidays in the Pyrenees.

Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is located just 17 minutes (7.6 km) from Centre de Congres Pierre Baudis. Additionally, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is a 4.5-hour train ride.

How to Get Around

By Tramway

In Toulouse, there are two tramway lines, named T1 and T2. T1 serves the Aeroscopia Aeronautics Museum as well as MEETT, the Toulouse Exhibition and Conference Centre. Line T2 serves Toulouse-Blagnac international airport.

Both lines have the same terminus: Palais de Justice Station, which is directly connected to line B of the metro. These two tramway lines also provide a link with line A of the metro at Arènes station, which will take you to the main city centre stations such as Capitole or Jean-Jaurès.

By Bus

More than a hundred bus routes traverse the city and the surrounding area, providing a very efficient service to the entire region. Buses display their number and destination on the front of the vehicle.

Linéo buses are double "accordion" buses that provide a link between the communes of the metropolitan area and the metro or tram stations. They are marked with an L and the bus number. These buses, which offer very frequent service, bring the whole metropolitan area within a stone's throw of the Place du Capitole, offering passengers a high quality of service and comfort.
