Our products cover the spectrum from the UV-VIS-IR range all the way down to the XUV/soft X-ray-range. We are specialized in the design and manufacture (from standard to tailor-made) of optical elements and devices for ultrafast laser applications. Combining broadband coherent sources with unique dispersive technology, we offer the generation and diagnostics of the shortest pulses in the market in the femto- (UV-VIS-IR) and attosecond (XUV/soft X-ray) range, ideal for applications in spectroscopy and pump-probe experiments.
We have complex design and manufacturing capabilities in dielectric optics for laser applications, as well as metallic multilayer structures for XUV/soft X-ray applications. Finally, our product portfolio is complimented by characterization devices for dispersive and high-reflective mirrors.
TUNDRA - Third-order Autocorrelator
Description: Our third-order autocorrelator serves as a highly sensitive diagnostic tool for laser pulse contrast measurements. After further development, the dynamic range reaches up to 14 orders of magnitude, enough to characterize background or trace tiniest preand post-pulse replica of the most powerful lasers in the world. The autocorrelator generates the third
harmonic signal in nonlinear crystals and is set up with all-reflective components, guaranteeing correlation traces without measurement artefacts. It can be employed in a wide range of applications. In particular, high-field experiments
in plasma physics require the indepth measurement of the pulse contrast behavior and possible parasitic pulse structures. Compared to second-order autocorrelators, the signal’s third-harmonic nature allows to distinguish between preand post-pulses. All these features make our specialized fully automatized autocorrelator an invaluable tool for characterization of ultrashort laser pulse contrast.
CAPELLA - Light Field Synthesizer
Description: We present the first commercial Light Field Synthesizer enabling synthesis and sub-femtosecond control of super-octave light transients. Capella is based on the spectral division of coherent supercontinuum into three different bands (channels) by chirped dichroic beamsplitters and their interferometric spatio-temporal superposition to synthesize a field waveform. All constituent pulses from the channels of CAPELLA are temporally compressed by chirped mirrors down to pulse duration of <10 fs. Introducing different time-delays among the channels enables the shaping and sub-cycle control of the field waveform.
EVEREST - VUV/XUV/Soft X-Ray Spectrometer
Our soft X-ray / XUV / VUV spectrograph features aberration-corrected flat-field imaging and is available with three gratings covering the spectral ranges 1-17 nm (73-1240 eV), 5-80 nm (15-248 eV) and 30-200 nm (6-41 eV). In order to maximize light collection, the spectrometer can be used without an entrance slit over a variety of source distances, with 3-17 nm, 10-80 nm and 30-200 nm spectral coverage. Its modular design is able to match different experimental geometries and configurations. It features an integrated slit holder, gate valve and filter insertion unit, as well as motorized
grating positioning along 3 axes.
Large Aperture dispersive mirrors up to 200mm with high LIDT
Ultrafast Innovations GmbH is newly equipped with the HELIOS 800 Gen II magnetron sputtering coating plant of Bühler Leybold Optics. The newest addition has allowed to expand our portfolio and enables production of large aperture optics. We are currently able to produce up to 200 mm diameter optical components including beam splitters,
filters, ultra-highly reflective and dispersive mirrors. In addition to the availability of the large aperture optics, we are providing optical coatings with high damage thresholds. Our current damage threshold record for a high reflecting
mirror at 1064 nm, 100 Hz stands at 90 J/cm2 as tested by our partner - Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH).
