Formation of Shape and Surface Quality of Laser Material Remelted Lines Obtained Through Defocusing (JTu5A.21)
Presenter: Samer Meshreqy, Western University
Laser remelting is a complex thermodynamic process that yields smoothing and bulging surface modifications applicable to polishing and structuring, respectively. This study includes a preliminary analysis on the formation of shape and surface quality of lines createded with a defocused laser beam.
