A Message to Congress Presenters, Registrants and Exhibitors:

The health and safety of OSA Meetings attendees is always of primary importance, and especially so in our current environment. As you are aware, due to restrictions and concerns resulting from COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the OSA High-brightness and Light-driven Interactions Congress was not held as originally scheduled.

When OSA first made this announcement, we stated that we would provide further information when available. And while we do not yet have confirmed plans to communicate, we did want to provide an update.

  1. The congress committee has expressed a preference to convene the meeting in person later this year. They are intent on presenting the same meeting experience that you would have had—just presented a few months later.
  2. OSA Management is currently exploring venues in Prague for the late November or early  December time frame.
  3. We will send you a follow-up email when the venue and dates have been confirmed.
  4. If you have previously registered for the meeting, no further action is required. Your registration will carry forward to the new dates.

OSA and the congress committee want to present a solution that benefits speakers, attendees and exhibitors while ensuring the well-being of all participants. However, this approach does require time, and we appreciate your patience in waiting for an announcement on future plans.

OSA remains committed to providing frequent and current updates regarding the meeting status—both through direct communication and the congress website, which is updated daily: www.osa.org/HighBrightnessOPC.

Until we can meet in better times, we are thinking of you and your colleagues.
