PHOTONICS, the eleventh in the Photonics series of biennial international conferences was organized during December 9-12, 2012 by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). The conference aims to bring together academicians, scientists, and professionals specializing in Fiber Optics and Photonics technologies to explore recent technical advances in the topics mentioned below.
Short-courses on some of the emerging topics in photonics was conducted on December 9, followed by technical sessions during December 10-12. A technical exhibition was organized concurrently with the conference.
Researchers are encouraged to submit papers covering original research related to the topics of interest of the conference including:
- Diffractive Optics
- Integrated Optics/Silicon Photonics
- Lasers/Ultrafast Optics
- Nonlinear Optics/Slow Light/Photonic Crystal Structures
- Optical Fiber Communication/Signal Processing
- Optical Fiber Devices/Sensors
- Photonics Modeling
- RF Photonics/TeraHertz Imaging
- Solid State Lighting/Green Photonics
