Versatile State of the Art Laser Engine for Microscopy
iChrome FLE, the Flexible Laser Engine is the newest member of TOPTICA’s iChrome family of laser combiners. With up to 7 wavelengths and many options it is a perfect fit for more complex scientific setups. It can be equipped with two fibers and a fiber switch, which simultaneously can act as a variable fiber splitter. Another option is to integrate a variable attenuator, to reach µW power levels with unprecedented low noise levels. The automatic alignment feature COOLAC makes the iChrome FLE a truly “hands off” laser engine with no need to ever align any mirrors. The AOM/AOTF free design allows complete off with no photons in the off state and completely cross-talk free switching between wavelength.

Konstantin Birngruber received his diploma engineering degree in physics from the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
He started his career as R&D engineer for Excimer lasers at TUI LASER in 1997. In 1998, he had been appointed as Product Manager for medical Excimer lasers. From 2005 on, he acted as Segment Manager for Medical Excimer lasers at Coherent Inc. In 2011 Konstantin Birngruber joined TOPTICA Photonics AG in his role of Product Manager OEM Diode Lasers.
