Chalcogenide Lenses for IR Imaging

The benefits of chalcogenides – their optical properties, relative cost, and manufacturing options – continue to enable growth in the thermal/IR imaging market.  LightPath’s BD6™ Chalcogenide glass is an ideal choice to replace Ge lenses in thermal imaging applications.

Speaker:

Jeremy Huddleston, Optical Engineering / Imaging Optics Product Manager, LightPath Technologies

Jeremy has over two decades of experience in optical design, test, and metrology, and he specializes in designing compact, low-cost imaging lenses for applications such as cell phone cameras and thermal imagers.  Among his accomplishments, he was the optical designer for the original FLIR Lepton lens used inside the world’s first thermal cell phone camera and FLIR ONE accessory.
