The Canadian Arctic and GEMM

IPAC Steering Committee Chair Tom Baer spoke during a plenary at the Annual Scientific Meeting of Sentinelle Nord/ Sentinel North on 26 August 2019 in Lévis, Québec about technologies for distributed networks of environmental monitors to measure the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere and geosphere, and how those new technologies will help measure changing environments in the arctic and other regions around the world.  He also discussed the potential for environmental research groups in Canada participating in the international GEMM effort. Sentinelle Nord is a large research program based at Université Laval and established by the Canadian Government under the Canada First Research Excellence Fund.
