While the FCC and others continue to call for “Gigabit communities,” the reality is that the quality of Internet access varies tremendously among regions across the USA.  Few areas have ultra-high speed service offerings for consumers and small businesses. A huge part of overcoming this situation is finding a solution that makes these services readily available in a fast and cost-effective manner.

That’s where the InvisiLight® Optical Solutions come in.These solutions enable fast, easy-to-install and almost invisible fiber drop connections for the indoor living unit (ILU) or multi-dwelling unit (MDU), making optical fiber easily available to each tenant in a building.

The InvisiLight Optical Solutions are unique in that they allow fiber installation that is much faster, less disruptive and more dependable than that of similar technologies.

First, the InvisiLight Solutions are the only technology of its kind that facilitates passing optical fiber through or behind walls in a building.
Secondly, the InvisiLight Solutions feature an optical fiber with a 2.5 mm bend radius as compared to a 5 mm radius offered by other similar technologies.  

Next, the InvisiLight Optical Solutions are the only offering that allows virtually invisible fiber connection without drilling or other damage to the building walls.

Finally, the InvisiLight Solutions are the only plug-and play system which helps save time and money on installation.
When first launched, did your technology make a transformational change for the end-user or was it an advancement of the prior art? Describe this.
The InvisiLight Optical Solutions made a major advancement in how fiber is deployed to ILUs and MDUs.  Superior bend-insensitive fiber known as EZ-Bend® Optical Fiber became the founding technology platform for InvisiLight, as it surpassed the technical standards for bend radius. This capability assures high optical performance in the fiber with negligible loss even when the optical fiber is tied, installed around many corners or excessive slack stored in tight customer premise modules.

Give a specific example of the buying chain for your product/technology once you sell it to the next level buyer. Provide an example of the succession of companies your product goes through, ultimately to get to an end-user.
OFS’ global manufacturing assets and corporate vertical integration are a major competitive advantage. The InvisiLight Optical Solutions were developed and manufactured totally in-house as OFS innovated the optical fiber, the cabling (jacket and coating) and finally the connectivity segments (which includes the connectorization and wall modules). The InvisiLight Optical Solutions are sold directly to service providers after a deep assessment and understanding of their needs. In addition, for new and emerging markets, OFS works through distribution channels with some distributors providing localized services to create installation kits for the providers.
