Humio Inaba

OSA Awards & Distinctions



Humio Inaba was a professor and professor emeritus at the Tohuku Institute of Technology and Tohuku University in Sendai, Japan. He was elected a Fellow of OSA in 1982, and received the C.E.K. Mees Medal in 2001 “For contributions in quantum and optical electronics including laser radar, remote sensing, nonlinear and integrated optics, and ultrashort optical pulses; for pioneering research on biophotonics; and for playing a significant role in the internationalization of laser radar research.”
