Elizabeth M.C. Hillman

OSA Awards & Distinctions



Elizabeth M C Hillman holds a BSc and MSc in Physics (1998) and a Ph.D. in Medical Physics and Bioengineering (2002) from University College London, London, UK. Hillman is currently a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Radiology at Columbia University and a member of the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute and Kavli Institute for Brain Science. She is a Fellow of OSA, SPIE, and AIMBE. She received the 2011 Adolph Lomb Medal from OSA “for pioneering developments in biomedical optics, including laminar optical tomography and dynamic contrast enhanced molecular imaging.”
