Denis G. Pelli

OSA Awards & Distinctions



OSA Fellow Denis G. Pelli received his B.A. in applied math from Harvard, his Ph.D. in physiology from Cambridge, and performed post-doctoral research on psychophysics of reading at the University of Minnesota.

He has been a Professor of Psychology and Neural Science at New York University since 1995.

Pelli has received several awards, including the Hopkins Leadership Award from OSA and the Oberdorfer Low Vision Award from the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He was a Visiting Fellow Commissioner at Trinity College, Cambridge University 2011 to 2012.
