Barbara A Paldus earned her BS in Math and Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 1993. She then earned her PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University, USA, in 1998. That year, she founded Picarro, where she eventually served as CTO. She was then CEO of Finesse Solutions from 2005 to 2017. She is now founder and CEO of Codex Beauty. Paldus has been awarded more than 30 U.S. patents and numerous honors for achievements in science, including the Adolph Lomb Medal.
