Humboldt Universität zu Berlin
2016 OSA Ambassador Aline Dinkelaker is a postgraduate research associate working in experimental physics at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Currently, she works on laser systems for atomic physics experiments in microgravity and space platforms for fundamental physics. Aline received her Diploma in Physics, on the topic of solar flares, from the Technical University of Berlin in 2010, and her PhD in Physics, in the field of atomic physics and photonics, from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, in 2013. She has participated in OSA activities since 2010, including becoming a student chapter committee member for several years. As an OSA ambassador, she would like to connect students with local industrial and academic contacts to increase career opportunities and to further engage young people with science.
