I would like to pay tribute to my PhD advisor Prof. Jelena Vuckovic. She is a fantastic role model in both research and career-life navigation and I feel very grateful to have had her mentorship. In addition to Jelena's decorated photonics career, her leadership of Stanford's quantum initiative Q-FARM has been very inspiring. She has made a huge impact to the field and has trained many experts.
