Ekaterina Shamonina, incredibly bright and powerful woman researcher and teacher. Her classes and lectures on plasmonics and metamaterials at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg for Master students (MAOT) encourage students to learn, go into the details of the matter, stay humble and curious. Ekaterina remains our brightest example of a female scientist. We (her graduate students) cherish her impact in education and upbringing young researches and would love to tribute her.
