Honoring Lynn Nelson

Lynn is not only an excellent optical engineer, but she is also always willing to share her knowledge with others. She has worn many hats in her career, from fiber expert to researcher to development at AT&T. Lynn has always spread the news about optics and encouraged those that are starting out. Here at AT&T she helped sponsor an Optics Day for Girls that was extremely successful. She has also done outreach to the local school system, teaching them about optics and careers in the field.
