Anna is an inspiration to me - both professionally and personally. Not only was she a trailblazer as a women in physics in Italy, she devoted time, energy and her considerable talents in support of the community and organizations such as ICO (International Commission for Optics), ICTP, OSA, and SIOF. She's also a marvelous tour guide in Florence!
