I would like to thank and honor Martina Hentschel because she is an excellent and inspiring researcher with great ideas. Martina is an encouraging mentor supporting me and our group enthusiastically over the last years. Just recently, she organized the “Physikerinnentagung” of the DPG (i.e. the German Society for Physics) in Ilmenau, a conference which is dedicated to women in physics with the objective of promoting and supporting them. I am very grateful to have her as my PhD supervisor.
