Antigone Marino

Honoring Susana Marcos, CSIC

Submitted by Antigone Marino, CNR

The first time I saw Susana Marcos was during the International Year of Light. Then, thanks to OSA events, it happened to meet her more often. We never collaborated scientifically together, as we deal with different fields of optics. Anyway, she became a reference for me. I am fascinated by her cleverness in doing science, speaking of science, and being a leader. She is an example to follow for the new generations: a scientist who is talked about because she is a scientist. Then a woman.
