Prof. Irina Veretennicoff taught me a very tough course on Optical materials at the Gent University during my master's course. She is an exceptional teacher who explained complex physics concepts in the easiest of ways. Since then she has been a mentor and has supported me whenever possible for the last 10 years. Thank you so much Prof. Veretennicoff, you have been an inspiration to me and so many researchers in optics!
