Jules Marcus was an outstanding teacher and mentor to his many graduate students in physics at Northwestern University. Initially as a student, and then later as a recruiter at Northwestern, I became aware of the many subtle and not so subtle ways he taught, molded and mentored is students. He excelled in teaching his students not only the science in their thesis but also how to become true professionals in their field. His wise advice stayed with us throughout our careers. Thank you Jules!
