It is a pleasure to find a forum to publicly thank and acknowledge Professor Tanguay for his enthusiastic style of teaching and for showing me the many ways that fields of physics, materials science, optics, and electrical engineering were intertwined and related. Through his lectures and hours of one on one mentoring, he showed the beauty of these fields and the many possibilities that could come from studying and applying them.
