Although I am not one of Tom's students, I benefited greatly by his generosity and guidance and feel like I am one of his students. I followed his seminal work on structure from motion. He has graduated a tremendous number of M.S. and Ph.D. students, worked with many senior members in computer vision and image processing during summers and other visits. Tom is a fantastic teacher. Above all, Tom is a wonderful human being.
