I had the chance to work with Pearl on outreach and public engagement programs during my graduate studies at the University of Southampton. She opened my mind in finding ways to present my research to non-specialist audiences, allowing me to gain a better understanding of my work. She has generously given me access to tools and networks to develop my own projects and created opportunities that I would never have thought possible.
