Dan is my first mentor in the optics industry. He is known for his expertise in interferometry, optical metrology, and engineering leadership. In his capacity as a leader, he inspired me to take an interest in optical metrology and testing, which has defined my career since I interned in his engineering group six years ago. Dan is also known for his dedication to the craft. As a leader at JENOPTIK Optical Systems for more than six years, he will continue to be an example to young engineers.
