France models the best in class for all of us in the science and engineering community. She successfully ran NSF for six years. She is a leader in advocating for STEM, for diversity, and for students. France oversaw the NSF funded discovery and celebration of LIGO, one of the science communities’ greatest accomplishments. France has focused on both interdisciplinary work and consistent/reasonable research funding; all of which will be necessary to face the challenges in our future.
