Honoring Dow Smith

This #MentoringMonth, I honor Dow Smith for embodying the spirit of mentorship and community that I feel is core to OSA. His warm welcome of me to the society when we met during his presidency was a defining moment for my membership to OSA. I was just 21, and it was inspiring to serendipitously meet Dow on a bus to the NASA Johnson Space Flight Center.
