Honoring Prof. Kazuhiro Hane

Professor Kazuhiro Hane was a very knowledgeable, humble, and kind-hearted professor at Tohoku University, who opened me the door to the world of Nanophotonics and Optical MEMS in my PhD years in Japan. I am very grateful for his advice with great breadth of expertise and his unwavering support. It is only reasonable that his dedications to academic world society be heard, and the spirit of mentoring and supporting students be passed on to the next generations by this donation.
