Career Accelerators

In order to compete and succeed in the optics and photonics field today, students and early career professionals need to develop skills both inside and outside the lab and understand how to utilize their expertise in this ever growing and changing sector. The Career Accelerators seek to fill the training and education gap by focusing on career paths and the professional and personal skills needed for success.

The plan is to launch the Career Accelerators in 2020 and host 15 programs over a five-year period impacting 1,500 students and early career professionals. Additionally, the foundation will form the Accelerator Alum Association to continue providing this network of future leaders with educational programs and opportunities to stay connected and deepen their involvement in the field.
