In support of its member companies, OIDA promotes and protects the business of optics and photonics in driving innovation, creating jobs, and accelerating growth in the U.S. and around the world. OIDA provides exclusive roadmap reports and market data for the industry, serves as the voice of the industry to government and academia, acts as a liaison with other trade associations worldwide and provides a network for the exchange of ideas and information within the optics and photonics community.
Spectrolight was founded by a group of scientists and engineers who had often experienced frustration with the limitations of commercially available photonic devices and components. As former users, this team set out to deliver cost-effective photonic tools that offer better functionality, greater ease of use, and superior reliability and lifetime. We produce optical and optomechanical components for manipulating, generating and detecting light. Our goal is to provide end-users with a new solution to tunable wavelength filtering that is comparably advantageous to existing technologies. Our most notable achievements with our Flexible Wavelength Selector (FWS) devices have been published in the field of polarimetry imaging and bioengineering of photoreceptors. We aim to meet the needs of various existing and emerging applications including but not limited to microscopy, spectroscopy, machine vision, and hyperspectral imaging that would benefit from our wavelength selector devices.
