Oriel Instruments Upgrades TLS Series of Fully Integrated Tunable Light Sources
Irvine, CA – June 9, 2015 – Oriel Instruments, a Newport Corporation Company, is introducing an upgraded version of the TLS-Series of fully integrated Tunable Light Sources.
The TLS family of products is tailor-made for users who want the flexibility of a modular design and the simplicity of an integrated system. In addition, all TLS systems are now equipped with a new OPS power supply that supports optional light intensity control.
“Oriel’s TLS family of illuminators is ideal for researchers and users who need a versatile light source that is ready to use out of the box”, says John Park, New Product Development Manager at Oriel Instruments. The Tunable Light Source produces monochromatic light from UV to near-IR. It is available with Xenon or QTH lamps and USB or RS232/GPIB computer interfaces. A motorized filter wheel with four order sorting filters and TracQ™ software for PC-based system command and data acquisition are also part of the standard system.
Each Oriel Instruments TLS is tested prior to shipment to ensure that it meets factory standards. Customers receive a full test report and calibration files documenting the individual performance of their unit. The test data includes spectral output irradiance, beam spot size, beam divergence angle, temporal stability, beam uniformity as well as wavelength accuracy measured at different wavelengths. This provides users with a valuable reference to validate the beam output.
