David Richardson Medal

Recognizes those who have made significant contributions to optical engineering, primarily in the commercial and industrial sector.

The medal was established in 1966 to honor David Richardson’s unique contributions to applied optics. It is endowed by Cary Instruments (formerly Applied Physics Corporation) and Gary Duck.
