OSA Foundation donors inspire young minds, support today's optics and photonics students, and recognize excellence. Our programs are created and funded by the generosity of individuals and companies within the community.
Without your donations, we cannot do the important work and have the impact we do.
The OSA Foundation’s Annual Campaign raises critical funding to support our annual philanthropic programs. 100% of donor funds are currently used for program support, not administrative expenses.
We are currently soliciting donations to fund an endowment for the Tingye Li Innovation Prize. This award will honor the global impact Dr. Tingye Li made to the field of optics and photonics and recognize top-performing youth professionals in the optical communications field who have demonstrated innovation in their research submitted for consideration during the OFC Conference.
We are currently soliciting donations to fund an endowment for the James P. Gordon Memorial Speakership. Established in 2014, in memory of Dr. Gordon, this program will recognize his outstanding contributions in the field of Quantum Optics and recognize a CLEO invited speaker who has contributed significantly to the field of Quantum Optics. Presentations will be recorded and added to our online education resource library.
The Siegman International School on Lasers Student Support Fund is currently accepting donations to fund student travel, tuition reimbursement and awards for 2014 program attendees. This school will bring together up to 100 of the world’s brightest graduate students each year to learn from academic and industry leaders.
