OSA's 2012 Executive Forum to Feature Optical Communications Leaders on Network Growth, Datacom, Mobile Broadband and More

Verizon's Vice President of Global Network Planning to keynote gathering of senior-level optical communications executives

WHAT: The 13th annual Executive Forum, sponsored by the Optical Society (OSA) and collocated with OFC/NFOEC, brings together optical communications industry leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges in the field. Attendees gain insight and analysis on emerging trends and financial outlooks, while networking and connecting with fellow industry executives.  Topics this year include 100G networks, data centers, start-up technologies, mobile broadband, and gross margin challenges for optical components companies.

WHEN/WHERE: Monday, March 5, 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the JW Marriott Los Angeles.

  • Keynote Address: 8:45 – 9:30 a.m.
  • Panels: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Program includes breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and evening reception.

      Tarazi will discuss leveraging technology innovations to deliver improved customer experience, capacity growth and operational efficiencies. His talk will touch on the evolution of 100G from Long Haul networks to its growing prevalence in metro and submarine networks supporting applications across the globe and the future possibilities of 400G/s and 1 Tb/s wavelengths. Tarazi is responsible for the deployment of Verizon’s Optical, IP and Ethernet global network capabilities.
