OSA’s Review Journal Advances in Optics and Photonics Announces Editorial Advisory Board
WASHINGTON, Oct. 10 – The Optical Society (OSA) is pleased to announce the inaugural editorial advisory board of its newest journal, Advances in Optics and Photonics (AOP). World renowned for their scientific achievements and advances in the optics and photonics community, the advisory board will help the editor-in-chief formulate editorial strategy and identify new directions for AOP.
The advisory board also will be made up of the editors of JOSA A, JOSA B, Applied Optics, Optics Letters and Optics Express as well as AOP’s first Editor-in-Chief, Bahaa Saleh.
The following are the inaugural members of the AOP Editorial Advisory Board:

“The tremendous knowledge that these esteemed leaders will bring to the advisory board will enable AOP to stay ahead of the curve and feature the most significant industry subjects,” said AOP Editor in Chief Bahaa Saleh. “I am looking forward to working with each of them and using their expertise to help AOP become the go-to resource for in-depth reviews of the field’s most important research areas.”
Designed to capture the most significant advances in optics and photonics, AOP will include both traditional long review articles and peer-reviewed tutorials. Submissions of long reviews and tutorials are invited only. Tutorials will feature interactive components like animation and video to maximize their reach. Each article will have navigational links and external reference-linking for easy sourcing and enhanced learning. Authors will enjoy timely publication as each article is published online immediately upon completion.
OSA will provide free introductory access to the journal for a limited time following its launch. AOP tutorials will remain open access. For more information on AOP or to suggest authors and topics for invited articles, please visit http://aop.osa.org.
