Magazine Names Anthony Johnson as a Top Minority in Science

Anthony Johnson, director of the Center for Advanced Studies in Photonics Research at the University of Maryland and a former president of OSA's Board of Directors, has been named as a Science Spectrum Trailblazer, Top Minority in Science winner and will receive the honor at a recognition luncheon during the Minorities in Research Science conference being held September 15-17, 2005 at the Baltimore Convention center. Johnson has also agreed to serve as a panel member for the Plenary Session entitled, "Minorities in the Mix: If Not Now, When?"
