Incubic/Milton Chang Travel Grant

Funded by an endowment from Milton and Rosalind Chang, this program provides 20 grants of up to $500 USD  to enable students who present papers to travel to CLEO and the Frontiers in Optics/OSA Annual Meeting. Grants are usually awarded to the presenter and/or first author of the paper.

All of the following information MUST be included in the grant application:

  • Letter of support from the student
  • Letter of support from the student's advisor
  • Estimated budget for the trip
  • Copy of the paper abstract
  • Mailing address and email address

Please note: Both letters of support should describe the importance of the applicant's work and must clearly demonstrate the need for the grant. Incomplete applications will not be accepted (sample application for reference).

The submission deadline for grant applications for CLEO is 29 March 2013.

The submission deadline for grant applications for Frontiers in Optics is 1 August 2013.
