• OPTICS & PHOTONICS NEWS (OPN) PRINT & ONLINE SUBSCRIPTIONS – OPN is an award-winning monthly magazine that keeps members up-to-date on technical innovations, industry news, OSA activities and more. Members receive free printed issues and exclusive access to OPN Online.          
• JOURNAL & CONFERENCE PAPER CONTENT –Members receive 50 free Optics InfoBase journal article or conference paper downloads. InfoBase is an extensive online archive with more than 168,000 journal articles and conference papers from hundreds of technical meetings---papers are posted seven days after each meeting.
• PHYSICS TODAY PRINT & ONLINE SUBSCRIPTIONS - The flagship publication of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), Physics Today is a monthly magazine that features technical articles, news stories, reviews, and job listings.

• MEMBERS-ONLY EVENTS & ONLINE RESOURCES – OSA provides networking opportunities through special events, online resources, such as the members-only directory/search engine, and technical group affiliations.
• TECHNICAL GROUPS – Members are encouraged to join up to five technical groups free of charge. Group members receive special updates on OSA publications, meetings, and activities in their areas of interest.
• CONFERENCE, MEETING & SUBSCRIPTION DISCOUNTS - Members attend OSA-hosted events free of charge or at greatly reduced rates. In fact, the member registration discount for just one meeting exceeds the cost of annual dues! Members also receive substantial subscription discounts for OSA and AIP publications.
• DISCOUNTS ON TECHNICAL BOOKS – Members receive discounts on McGraw Hill and John Wiley & Sons publications by using the library discount pages located in the OSA.org “Members-Only” section.  
• PEER SOCIETY PUBLICATION DISCOUNTS - OSA members receive subscription discounts on journals published by the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and selected AIP member societies. Please note: OSA members are limited to three (3) AIP journal subscriptions.

Resources & Career-Building Services

• CAREER SERVICES - Members may post their resumes on WORKinOPTICS.com at no cost and receive special recognition in its resume bank. OSA hosts Career Centers at major conferences throughout the year--members receive priority online and on-site services.
• GRANTS, AWARDS, FELLOWSHIPS – OSA offers a wide range of science and engineering recognitions. Members are encouraged to nominate OSA colleagues for these honors.
• EMAIL ALIAS -This service enables members to synchronize any email address with their OSA email address. Having an OSAMEMBER.ORG alias is especially helpful when members change their personal or business email address because it automatically forwards their email.
• INSURANCE PROGRAM – OSA members may purchase competitively priced life, long-term disability, daily hospitalization, personal accident and supplemental major medical coverage. (Only available for members residing in the U.S.)
