About BIOMED
There are few basic biological science studies that are not touched by biomedical optics. Optical methods play
a critical role in biotechnologies ranging from genomics to cell-based assays to in vivo imaging and therapies.
In light of this, the importance of biomedical optics has never been greater. The upcoming Biomedical Optics
meeting covers the diversity of cutting edge biomedical research and brings together leading scientists,
engineers and physicians engaged in biological and medical research using optical methods. With over 400
attendees, this must-attend meeting affords attendees the opportunity to interact one-on-one with oral
presenters, along with multiple poster sessions allowing for lively discussions of the latest research.
Topics to be Considered
- Bio-optics in clinical application
- Biological and drug discovery imaging
- Photonic nanotechnology and probes
- Microscopy
- Optical coherence tomography and sensing
- Photoacoustic imaging and spectroscopy
- Optical imaging and spectroscopy
Due to increasing delays in securing visas to the US, we strongly encourage international attendees to begin this process as early as possible (but no later than three months before the meeting) to ensure timely processing. Please refer to the Letter of Invitation section of this website for additional information.
