Continuing Education Units

The CEU is a nationally recognized unit of measure used to quantify continuing education and training activities. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) were created as a way to document noncredit work in specifically developed activities for adult learners in a variety of disciplines. One CEU is defined as "10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction".
IACET
OSA has been approved as an authorized provider of CEUs by IACET, The International Association for Continuing Education and Training. In obtaining this approval, OSA has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards which are widely recognized as standards of good practice. The mission of IACET is to promote and advance quality continuing education and training. OSA, like other authorized providers, is committed to developing educational experiences which have a clear purpose, result from careful planning, are taught by qualified instructors and which are routinely evaluated. See IACET's Criteria and Guidelines.
