Workshop on Photonics: Fundamentals and Applications

Celebrating the International Year of Light and as an inauguration of the Department of Photonics at Izmir Institute of Technology, the workshop aims to bring together theorists and experimentalists working across a wide range of topics, including light-matter interactions, photonic materials, lasers, plasmonics, metamaterials and quantum optics. The event will be hosted by ICTP-Eurasian Centre for Advanced Research(ECAR) at IZTECH, Izmir, Turkey. During this workshop, there will be plenary and invited talks given by leading experts in their fields as well as contributing talks. Poster session provides a good opportunity for the young researchers and graduate students for presenting their results and discussing them with the experts. Young scientists, postdocs and PhD students from all countries are encouraged to attend the conference. Limited funds are available for supporting some successful applicants from developing countries, to be selected by the organizers. Such financial support is available only to those who attend the entire workshop. There is no registration fee for attending the Workshop.
