Electro-Optics and Infrared (EO/IR) systems are facing a variety of adverse atmospheric conditions on the battlefield: humidity, dust, aerosols, precipitations, fog, turbulence, smoke, Battlefield Induced Contaminants, obscurants and even foliage… And these are all challenges for the sensors because they greatly reduce the resolution, contrast and range of use. The workshop will review the different technologies to improve the use of EO/IR sensors under adverse conditions: Lidar, superesolution, fusion of information, use of multiband/multicolor detectors, active imaging…
