Yes, OSA can send text messages to members residing outside the United States. Standard message and data rates will apply.

There are several ways to join or renewal your membership.  You may review the options on the Join or Renew page on OSA.org under Member Membership & Education.
Once you sign up for automatic renewals, OSA will charge the credit card you provide before your membership expires.  You will receive at least two reminders from OSA prior to this transaction. Your membership renewal will be the same as your current membership option and you will be charged at the then current rate.* Your membership will continue to renew unless you cancel.

*After five consecutive years, Early Career Members are transitioned to Individual Membership.
Visit OSA Publishing's Digital Library (formerly Optics InfoBase) and click on “Log In.” You will be prompted to login using your email address and your OSA password. (Note: If you do not know your password, you can reset it online.) New users will be asked to agree to the terms of the “OSA User Agreement.” If you are a returning subscriber, once you login, you will have access to your 50 downloads from OSA Publishing's Digital Library, OPN Online, Optics Express and any additional journals you may have purchased.
To access OPN online, please visit the OPN website. You will be prompted to login using your email address and your OSA password. (Note: If you do not know your password, you can reset it online.)
To access “Physics Today” online you must first activate an account by responding to an email from scitationmail.org.  The email is sent shortly after you join OSA.

If you are trying to access an OIDA Industry report and receive an error message, this FAQ should help you.
 
Your organization must be an OSA Industry Development Associates (OIDA) member in order for you to download the reports.  You must also be logged in from a recognized IP address that is associated with your OIDA membership.   
 
If this IP has been provided through your organization (or its ISP or ARIN), submit the form below, and we will update your OIDA profile.  This includes official access through your organization’s VPN or internal network.
If you are using a personal device not on your organization’s network, including mobile devices and laptops, you will not be able to access OIDA Industry Reports.  

There are several ways to opt-out of receiving text messages from OSA:
  1. Reply STOP to a text message.
  2. Go to the My Account section of OSA.org and set your preferences.
  3. Call OSA's customer service department.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it online by visiting the My Account section of OSA.org (this is located at the top blue bar of every page). You will be prompted to login using your email address and your OSA password. (Note: If you do not know your password, you can reset it online.) Once logged in, click on the “Contact Information” tab followed by the “Edit” button in the name and address information box to edit your contact information.

OSA Industry Development Associate Members can access a worldwide network of industry professionals to make new business contacts, connect with current customers, and establish innovative partnerships. OSA Members can request to receive a personalized member certificate signed by OSA’s Chief Executive Officer, Elizabeth Rogan. To do so, simply submit this online form. Please allow 3-4 weeks for receipt of your member certificate.
You can sign up for automatic renewals during the online join and renew process. You can also sign up by going to the Membership section of My Account located on OSA.org, and clicking on Enroll. You will then be given instructions to enter the credit card information you would like OSA to use for your renewal payment.
Individuals may update their technical groups by logging in to the My Account section of OSA.org (this is located at the top right corner of osa.org). You will be prompted to login using your email address and your OSA password. (Note: If you do not know your password, you can reset it online.) Once logged in, click on the “My Profile” tab followed by the “Edit” button in the Interest Areas information box to edit your technical group information.

Yes.  OSA accepts payments for automatic renewals made through American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, Visa and debit cards with Visa/MasterCard logo.
Individuals with a ten (10) year or greater record of professional and/or service accomplishment since the time of their highest degree are encouraged to apply for a Senior Member designation. If selected, individuals must have an active OSA Membership.

If you are not yet an OSA Member, you can enroll online. Additional information can be found by visiting osa.org/seniormember.
By choosing auto renewals, you authorize OSA to renew your membership automatically by charging your credit or debit card approximately 7 days before your membership’s expiration date. You will receive notification 60 days in advance of the transaction.

You can cancel this authorization by providing OSA written notice twenty 20 days prior to deduction or by visiting My Account to change your auto-renew preference. You understand that your membership will continue to renew automatically unless you cancel.
Message and data rates may apply. By opting in for text messaging, you consent to receive prerecorded SMS or text messages from OSA sent through an automated dialing system. Your consent is not a condition of membership. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to a text message or by going to the My Account section of OSA.org and updating your preferences
You can update your mobile number at any time by going to the My Account section of OSA.org and updating your preferences.
OSA will send you communications related to your account, including renewal reminders. You may also receive exclusive promotional offers and opportunities.
Senior Member applications, including two brief endorsement statements from OSA Members, are due no later than February 28th of each year and are reviewed in May of that same year.
Individual and Early Career members are eligible for automatic renewals.  At this time, OSA does not offer automatic renewals to Student and Emeritus members.
