The symposium focuses on research, application and commercialisation aspects of the power line communications technology, in both broadband and narrowband fields. We welcome contributions that address all aspects related to PLC including but not limited to the following topics PLC in smart grids;cognitive, cooperative, and autonomous approaches;modulation, coding and signal processing for PLC;electromagnetic compatibility, interference and coupling;multiple access techniques and protocols;cross-layer optimisation, service integration;system architectures, security and PLC networks;standardisation, regularisation, and commercial networks;channel characterisation, modelling, experimental systems, & field trials;multiple access techniques and MAC protocols;duplex & repeater techniques, routing and autonomous network functions;network planning and optimisation;green communications;coexistence and interoperability;modem and LSI design;network and service management;system architectures and solutions;broadband and multimedia applications;access, in-home and in-vehicle power line networks;and any other topic related to power line communications.
