2013 Science Educators' Day (EDAY)
This FREE annual event focuses on effective and innovative approaches to science education, with an emphasis on hands-on, interactive classroom activities.
In 2013, we held our annual Science Educators’ Day (EDAY) in Orlando, FL USA and welcomed 85 science educators. The program included the winner of the 2007 Robert A. Millikan award of the American Association of Physics Teachers for “notable and creative contributions to the teaching of physics” David R. Sokoloff from the University of Oregon. You can view the 2013 EDAY video here! The 2013 EDAY Program (including Lesson Plans and Activity Guide) and the Active Learning in Light and Optics: Optics Magic Tricks and Interactive Lecture Demonstrations Guide are now available online.
Here are two pieces of information from David Sokoloff that may be useful to you:
The other Activity Based Physics materials are available for high school teachers as part of the High School E-Dition. Click here for more information.

One of the wonderful features of EDAY is that it is offered to educators at NO COST! This is possible thanks to the generous support of the OSAF, OSA and our program sponsors. If you are interested supporting EDAY please download our donation form or contact Seth Schermer at email@example.com. Financial as well as in-kind (material) donations are welcome!
You are welcome to download the 2012 EDAY Program (including Lesson Plans and Activity Guide) and try some of this year's demonstrations at home!
