Eastern Time (US & Canada) (UTC -05:00)

You’re invited to join the technical groups of the OSA Vision and Color Technical Division for their Data Blitz Series every week in July. Each week’s session will feature a series of short talks followed by lots of time for questions and discussion.

The theme for this week’s session is ‘New Findings in Color Perception and its Mechanisms’ and will feature the following talks:

  • Cone spectral sensitivity measurements in the living human eye using AO-OCT presented by Marcel Trerice Bernucci, Indiana University
  • Revealing how color perception and genetics are manifested in cone cells presented by Furu Zhang, Indiana University
  • Effect of cone spectral topography on chromatic detection sensitivity presented by Ramkumar Sabesan, University of Washington
  • Color perception in pulsed light presented by Christina Schwarz, University of Tübingen
  • Psychophysical measures in retinitis pigmentosa patients presented by Julien Fars, University of Erlangen-Nürnberg
  • Predicting color vision from luminance matches presented by Kassandra Lee, University of Nevada, Reno
  • Using color space metrics to understand color cognition presented by Karen Schloss, University of Wisconsin – Madison
  • A Comparison of Two Methods of Hue Scaling presented by Courtney Matera, University of Nevada, Reno
  • A study of chromatic contrast sensitivity functions in five colour backgrounds presented by Xu Qiang, Zhejiang University
  • Observer variability of CMFs between younger and elder group presented by Ruili He, University of Leeds
  • Physically Plausible Spectral Reconstruction presented by Yi-Tun Lin, University of East Anglia

Our moderator for this session will be Manuel Spitschan, Oxford University, Chair of the OSA Color Technical Group.
